Heating & Cooling Services in Toronto
Consumers Comfort installs, repairs and maintains furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and water heaters for homeowners across Toronto. We’re based just north of the city in Vaughan, so we reach most Toronto neighbourhoods quickly, from Midtown and the Annex to Leslieville and High Park.
Toronto homes come in every age and shape, and each one needs a different approach. A century semi in Riverdale, a 1950s bungalow in East York and a newer townhouse near the waterfront all heat and cool differently. We size every system to your home instead of guessing, so you get steady comfort and lower energy bills.

Heating and Cooling for Older Toronto Homes
Many Toronto houses were built long before central air existed. We regularly help homeowners with:
- Undersized or leaky ductwork that leaves upstairs rooms hot in summer and cold in winter
- Narrow side yards and laneways where outdoor AC or heat pump units need careful placement and quieter models
- Homes with no ducts at all, where ductless heat pumps add efficient heating and cooling room by room
- Small basements and mechanical rooms that need compact furnaces or wall-mounted tankless water heaters
We’ll look at your home, explain the options in plain language and recommend what fits, whether that’s a new furnace, a heat pump, or both working together.

A/C unit plus installation
Initially I contacted another company with good reviews on HomeStars, but discovered the representative who visited actually came from a different company which had poor reviews, and was pushing an inferior brand. I researched again and found Consumers Comfort, Edward came promptly, discussed our requirements and quoted fairly for an excellent brand. The following week (a day or two earlier than we expected) the unit was installed and our 3 other older units inspected and serviced. They did an excellent job and we have no hesitation in recommending this company. Colin, Toronto

Toronto Heating & Cooling FAQ
Do you serve all of Toronto?
Yes. We work across the city, from downtown and Midtown to the east and west ends, as well as North York, Etobicoke and Scarborough.
Can I get air conditioning in an older Toronto home without ductwork?
Yes. A ductless heat pump is often the best option. It cools in summer, heats in winter and installs without opening up walls or ceilings.
Is a heat pump a good choice for a Toronto home?
For many homes, yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps handle most of a Toronto winter efficiently, and many homeowners keep their furnace as backup for the coldest days.
How much does a new furnace or AC cost in Toronto?
It depends on your home’s size, the efficiency level you choose and the condition of your ductwork. A free estimate gives you an exact price with no obligation.
